Community Table Bistro, a culinary training division of Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont, provides hands-on job training for Goodwill clients, while offering healthy, delicious, and homemade food and beverage options to visitors of the Goodwill Opportunity Campus. In fact, Charlotte Magazine recently named Community Table Bistro one of the best new Charlotte restaurants of 2016.
Whether you’re looking for a fresh cup of Enderly Park coffee, or you have a craving for home-grown ingredients from the bistro’s outdoor garden, or you’re simply seeking a comfortable place to meet for a tasty breakfast or lunch, you help fuel job training programs that open doors of opportunity for our neighbors on their journey to family sustaining employment. Meet the Team
Andrew King, Director of Food Services
Andrew is a native Charlottean trained to restore historic gardens (NC State University, Horticultural Science). For 15 years, he owned High Cotton Catering, working in the homes of leaders in the banking and textile industry all over the country. During that time, he was also an operating partner in Hotel Charlotte Restaurant. In addition, he has served as executive chef and general manager at the Lodge on Lake Lure and as the general manager of the Charlotte office for the country’s largest events rental firm, Classic Party Rentals. For many years, he was also a regular every Tuesday on the syndicated Pam Stone Radio Show for Cooking with Andrew. His work won Best Brunch, Charlotte Magazine for Hotel Charlotte Restaurant. He uses traditional Southern foods, made from scratch, as a base for his innovative menus.
Patty Greene, Bistro Manager
Patty is a Charlotte native who has served as executive chef at Soul Gastrolounge and The Dunhill Hotel. She has worked in the kitchens of Carpe Diem, Bistro La Bon and Luca’s. For many years, Patty owned her own catering company, Food Fetish. She has won Best New Restaurant, Charlotte Magazine for Soul and Best New Restaurant and Best Breakfast, Charlotte Magazine for Harvest Moon at the Dunhill Hotel. She specializes in Asian Cuisine and Southern-Asian Fusion. She graduated from Johnson and Wales.
Woozie Bazemore, Catering and Sales Manager
Woozie graduated from Converse College before becoming the manager of the Historic New Wray Inn in the North Carolina mountains. After moving to Charlotte, she was the social director and event planner for Charlotte Country Club for over 16 years, organizing and carrying out all social functions for the club members. Before joining Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont, she was the executive director of the Junior League of Charlotte where she provided professional management and continuity in the administrative operations of the Junior League of Charlotte. Woozie is known for her gracious hospitality.
Community Table Bistro serves breakfast and lunch Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
