New Stores Coming Soon

In 2021, we announced a bold vision to open 25 new stores by 2027, doubling the store count of Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont. In 2022, we opened six new stores, and relocated our store in Shelby, for a total of seven new stores. This growth allows our nonprofit to create impactful employment opportunities at Goodwill locations, adding an estimated 750 new positions by 2027. The retail growth also generates additional funding to Goodwill’s mission services – which provide job search support, career coaching, industry-specific career training programs and family stability support to help people advance their careers and improve their lives.

Great Finds that Do Good
We’re excited to open new Goodwill stores in the next several years, not only to provide great donating and shopping options to more people in our community, but also to help more people pursue the life they want to achieve. The revenue we generate from selling donated goods in our retail stores funds career training courses, job search support, family stability services and more – all of which we offer free of charge to thousands of people in our community each year. In fact, you may know someone who is well on their way to a brighter future after accessing our programs and services. We’re thrilled to have more stores in the community that will generate revenue to fund our mission!
