Today we honored 56 new graduates of our Occupational Skills Training programs as they received their certificates and celebrated with friends, family and community leaders.
Graduates from our Banking & Customer Service, Construction & Green Jobs and Hospitality & Tourism training programs have each completed the 6-to-9 week courses, which are offered free of charge at our Career Development Center. “When I started with this program, I was out of work along with thousands of others seeking employment, and I did not stand out from the rest,” said graduate Vannesa Moultrie, who represented her class as a speaker during the ceremony. “Now I know that any obstacles you see are the ones when you take your eyes off your goals. Our lives have been changed through the power of work!”
We are so proud of our graduates, and we are excited to announce that 13 of them have already found employment! We can’t wait to see what they will do next.
