Bring it to Goodwill, of course! We’re working with Do Your Part this weekend for the Do Your Part to Stomp Out Electronic Waste event, where we’ll be accepting donations of your unwanted computers and related items. (That old electronics equipment can be full of metals and plastics that are hazardous and shouldn’t go in landfills!) This weekend’s event will be in three area locations: Park Road Shopping Center Intersection of Park Road and Woodlawn Road Charlotte, NC 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lowes Foods of Gastonia In the Hoffman Village Shopping Center 1949 Hoffman Road Gastonia, NC 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lowes Foods of Hickory 1405 29th Avenue Drive NE Hickory, NC 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come on out and help us save our landfills from growing waste while helping to fund the job training and employment programs that have a direct impact on our community. We’ll recycle your donations in an environmentally-friendly way and make sure hard drives are crushed or wiped clean to destroy any information on them. Anything that can be refurbished will be sold at our Computer Works store. Can’t make it to us this weekend? We accept donations of computers and related items at any of our 30-plus donation sites any day of the week!
