The Charlotte Art League (CAL) plans to unveil the fifth annual “Color My Dreams” exhibit this Friday with an evening reception honoring local artists who are part of our Employment Skills Training program. The artists, many of whom face intellectual, physical or mental disabling conditions, have spent months creating more than 70 pieces of art that will be displayed and available for purchase, including drawings, paintings and mosaics.
Artist Britney said that her favorite thing to paint was flowers, and she is really looking forward to the show so that she can share her works with everyone.
The event kicks off this Friday, March 2 with an opening night reception for the community at the Charlotte Art League Gallery, 1517 Camden Road, from 6 to 9 p.m. Goodwill participants will be on hand to show off their creations and talk about what being an artist means to them. The show will continue daily through March 31, with proceeds directly benefiting the artists.
