August is here and that means students are preparing to head back to school. But this year, things are a bit different.
With the challenges brought on by the pandemic, some students will return to school and adults may return to work in-person for the first time in more than a year! In that time, seasons have passed, and trends have changed.
If you are not sure of what to shop for when it comes to you or your kids, wardrobe stylist and fashion insider Stacee Michelle has you covered. Stacee shopped the GW boutique in South End to create a curated collection of fashionable items just for you! The collection goes live 10 a.m. at the GW boutique in South End on Friday, August 6 – shop these looks before they’re gone! Here are Stacee’s top tips for styling your back-to-school or back-to-business outfits this fall:
- Denim never goes out of style, but with so many looks to choose from, you may want to narrow it down to a darkwash denim, which you’ll see more of as we head into fall. Pro tip – pair a denim jacket with an outfit to spruce it up.
- The office dress code may be a bit more casual this fall. Look for traditional pieces like jackets and blazers that can easily transform a casual shirt or dress into a look for the office or a night out.
- When shopping shirts, go for plaid button-ups, band, racing or nostalgic tees.
Don’t forget, when shopping secondhand, you can find name brand items at a bargain. Stacee found skirts from Zara for $13.99 and shoes by Jeffrey Campbell for $14.99 at the GW boutique in South End.
We’ll be posting new blog posts each month featuring some of Stacee’s finds and helpful tips to help you recreate trends such as pairing dresses and skirts with sneakers, mixing prints, creating monochromatic outfits, rocking vintage and graphic tees, and more!
