Janice Gray serves as the Director of Career Experience and Youth Services. In her current role, Janice leads three distinct efforts for Goodwill: screening and preparing clients for other services within Goodwill, providing strategic support for Youth Services lending from her educational background as a former Montessori director, and managing the Play N’ Learn center where children can learn and play while loved ones are taking advantage of Goodwill services.
Prior to joining Goodwill, Janice served at a local Montessori School where she was a certified Montessori Teacher, then went on to become the Campus Administrator and Director of the Preschool through Kindergarten Campus which served up to 250 children and families. She was responsible for the operations of the four-acre, two-building campus and managing 20-30 staff.
She has over 20 years of experience in nonprofit early childhood education as a teacher and administrator. She has experience in management, fundraising and development, strategic planning, marketing, human resources and staff development. She was a Teacher Trainer at the Center for Montessori Teacher Education for North Carolina, where she implemented adult learning strategies and provided training, coaching and support to prospective Montessori teachers and interns.
Janice is also a certified Triple P provider. She holds a B.A. degree in Child and Family Development from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has the highest state certification as a Level III: Preschool Administrator and Level III: School Age Administrator along with Infant/Toddler Montessori Certification.
