While it’s hard to say “no thank you” to a donation, items that we cannot accept include:

• Mattresses and box springs
• Bed pillows
• Hazardous, flammable or toxic materials
• Children’s car seats or drop-side cribs
• Non-flat screen TVs
• Items that have been recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission

Furniture donations may be dropped off at any of our retail stores or drop-off locations. We also offer pickup options for large items you would like to donate if you do not have the resources to transport them.

With Goodwill’s electronics recycling program, we’ll recycle or sell your working or non-working electronics, not only keeping environmentally hazardous materials out of local landfills, but also powering our mission.We accept the following items in all conditions and all brands:

Yes. Donate your pre-owned car, boat, RV or tractor with Goodwill’s vehicle donations program.

• Contact Goodwill Car Donations by calling 866-233-8586 or visiting their website.
• Schedule a free pickup of your vehicle.
• Receive a tax deduction.
• Proceeds from the sale of your donated vehicle are funneled back into Goodwill’s mission of providing job training programs, job search support and more to people in our community, completely free of charge.

Every time you donate to Goodwill, we will offer you a receipt for tax purposes. The U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requires donors to value their items. To help guide you, please look at our Price List. These prices are only estimated values. Please check with your tax professional about your donations to Goodwill and the value of those contributions. Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization with a Federal ID.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all donations to Goodwill are tax-deductible and accompanied by a donation receipt.
