BankWork$ – Concord
We’re now offering our BankWork$ training program in Concord! Did you know that the Charlotte region is the second-largest banking center in the nation? Uncover your path to a promising career in the financial services industry through BankWork$. This tuition-free, eight-week training program will give you the skills, access and coaching you need to succeed and grow in banking careers—from understanding the financial services workplace to bank regulations, bank products, cash handling and processing customer transactions.
Graduates of this banking training program are prepared for roles such as: Associate Banker, Branch Banker, Client Services Representative, Lead Teller, Member Service Consultant, Personal Banker, Relationship Banker, Teller and Call Center Representative. Those who successfully complete this training program are expected to pursue a banking position immediately following the end of the program.

Timeframe & Details
The BankWork$ training program lasts eight weeks. Class meets in person Monday – Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (exact location in Concord is TBD). Professional business attire is required during all at-home and in-person classes and events. You must attend all program dates as scheduled.
Prerequisites
In order to apply to the BankWork$ banking training program, you must:
- be 18 or older
- have a high school diploma or its equivalent
- pass a reading and math comprehensive assessment
- go through an interview and selection process
- pass a background check
- commit to three days of training per week
- complete all Career Navigation/Employer Engagement assignments and meetings
- attend ALL instructor progress meetings
- be dedicated to job placement immediately upon graduation
- have reliable transportation
- commit to attending graduation
- be in good attendance standing
Requirements for Completion
To successfully complete Goodwill’s BankWork$ training program, you must:
- have no more than three (3) absences
- complete all program assignments, projects and activities
- complete all Goodwill University, Career Navigation and Employer Engagement assignments, projects and activities
- complete all exams
Wraparound Services
When you take one of our training programs, you get the added benefit of working with several of our teams to make sure you are fully prepared to take the next step and land a job! These teams are:
- Goodwill University team: offers the training program, and monitors course grades, attendance and other supporting activities.
- Career Navigation team: each participant will be assigned a career navigator who provides ongoing career coaching and employability skills training such as help developing your resume, crafting an elevator pitch, preparing for a job interview and more.
- Employer Engagement team: provides mock interview and employment assistance to all program participants by partnering with employers to facilitate employer-led training, job site tours, hiring events and direct job placements.
- Family Stability team: helps participants address factors beyond employment – such as food, healthcare, transportation, rent and utilities – through the coordination of crisis intervention services.
