Creating a
Brighter Future
for All

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is a nonprofit organization that connects people to opportunities to find gainful employment and meaningful work. Goodwill builds pathways for people to enhance their skill sets and achieve more for themselves and their families.

Purpose

Goodwill exists to help people see possibilities, seize opportunities and prosper.

Vision

We envision a community where equitable access to career opportunities is available for all.

Mission

Goodwill builds pathways that help people pursue the life they want to achieve.

Core Values

At Goodwill, we approach our work keeping three core values in mind: be bold, listen actively, and build a village.

The Goodwill Way

Many people have heard the name “Goodwill,” but have you ever wondered how the organization works?

The Community Donates

It all starts with a donation! People in our community donate their gently used items or make a financial gift.

Customers Shop

We sell the donated items in our retail stores and online shops.

We Provide Services

The revenue generated from selling donated items funds the career training programs, job search support and more that Goodwill offers to the community free of charge.

People Prosper

With new skills and ongoing support, Goodwill participants advance their careers and their lives, creating generational prosperity and brighter futures for our community.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging

At Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont, we’re committed to serving others with excellence regardless of their background, circumstance, the color of their skin, sexual orientation, gender expression or however they identify. We welcome and celebrate the mosaic of our society and are committed to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace where everyone belongs.

Goodwill believes in the power of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.
