Goodwill’s free seven-week Construction Skills Training program assists individuals in quickly developing the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain a position in the construction industry. Training topics include construction math, blueprint reading, hand and power tool use, footings, foundations, floor and wall framing systems, hanging doors, forklift operation and more. The program is taught by National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certified instructors and is offered in partnership with Central Piedmont Community College. All training is free of charge for Goodwill clients.
