“April showers bring May flowers,” and this season we are celebrating at GW in style. Wardrobe stylist and fashion insider Stacee Michelle has shopped Goodwill’s boutique, GW, to find stylish looks that you can shop and shower yourself with this spring. The best part? Proceeds from purchases fund job training courses, employment services, job search support, basic needs assistance and more – all of which is offered free of charge to people in our community.
Here are Stacee Michelle’s three tips for wearing florals like a pro this spring:
DRESS WITH LESS
If wearing a beautiful floral dress or romper, let that be the stand-out piece. Select simple jewelry and accessories like neutrals, gold and silver to add a little shine and keep your look polished.
BREAK IT UP
If you’re not ready to wear a full-on garden party head-to-toe, add a solid belt to your dress to break up the pattern. You can also break up floral print when wearing separates by marrying it with a solid. A statement floral blouse looks great paired with denim jeans.
PRINTS ARE PERSONAL
Floral patterns come in all shapes and sizes. From dainty and delicate to big and bold, there is something to fit everyone’s personality and style. If you want to rock the trend subtly, upgrade your solid outfit with a floral accessory like a shoe, handbag or jewelry.
