How do I sign up?

Sign up for the Good Points Loyalty Program by talking to a cashier at any store operated by Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont, excluding our Second Editions outlet. (At this time, we are not able to offer online enrollment.) The cashier will enter your information into the Good Points system using your first and last name, mailing address, phone number and email address. As an added bonus, there’s no card to keep track of – your phone number is your card number going forward!

Does it cost anything to become a member?

No, the Good Points Loyalty Program is free to join.

Who can sign up?

Our Goodwill loyalty program is open to all customers 16 years of age and older.

How do I earn points?

You automatically accumulate points on your purchases when you use your Good Points account (phone number) in any of our retail stores, excluding our outlet store Second Editions. But you must remember to use your phone number – points and/or rewards cannot be added to your member account after the purchase is complete. You do not earn points for donations.

How many points do I earn with each purchase?

You earn one point for every pre-tax dollar you spend. For example, if you spend $4.99, you earn 4.99 points. The points continue to add up with each purchase until you reach 100 and earn a $5 off reward. Additional points roll over to your next reward.

How do I know how many points I have accumulated?

Your current total of accumulated points will appear at the bottom of your receipt.

I qualify for the senior citizen 25% discount on Tuesdays. Can I still earn loyalty points on my purchase along with my discount?

Yes. Points are based on the amount of the purchase.

I have store credit from a return. Can I still earn loyalty points on my purchase?

Yes, you can still earn points when using a store credit.

Are points available immediately?

No. Points generally take 30 minutes to be credited your Good Points account.

What happens to my points if I return merchandise?

If you return merchandise, you lose the same amount of points as the pre-tax return value. So if you’re returning something that costs $7.97 before tax, then 7.97 points will be deducted from your points total.

Will my points and/or rewards expire?

No, your points do not expire. However, you will stop accumulating points when you reach 300. In order to start accumulating points again, you will need to redeem some of your $5 off rewards.

How do I get my $5 reward?

You’ll earn a $5 off reward with every 100 points earned. When you have 100 available points in your account, you will receive a $5 reward at the register. Your reward will be stored electronically in your account and you may use it on your next purchase. (Remember, it takes at least 30 minutes for your points to trigger the $5 off reward in your account, so it cannot be used on the same purchase.)

May I use more than one $5 reward on a single purchase?

Yes, but the rewards can only be used in increments of $5. For example, if something costs $3, you cannot use your $5 reward. Your purchase has to be at least the amount of each $5 increment. Let’s say you have $10 of rewards racked up, and you want to purchase something that’s $8. You can only use $5 worth of rewards, and you’ll have to pay the remaining $3 with cash, debit or credit card. Upon reaching 300 points, or $15 worth of rewards, Good Points members must utilize a minimum of $5 to continue to accrue points for future purchases.

Can points be redeemed on the same transaction they were earned?

No, it takes at least 30 minutes for your points to trigger the $5 off reward in your account, so it cannot be used on the same purchase.
