Goodwill’s free Tableau training course provides participants with a foundational knowledge of Tableau. This course is targeted toward first-time users and developers. By the end of the course, participants will be confident in building charts and dashboards and will know how to pursue additional information on their own to continue expanding their skills.

Goodwill’s Tableau training course lasts five weeks. It’s an online class that meets virtually from 6:30 – 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays for a total of three hours each week.

While there is a Tableau Certified Data Analyst certification, it is not offered as part of this course. Goodwill’s Tableau course provides foundational knowledge and is a stepping stone to the certification exam. If you are interested in becoming certified after completing Goodwill’s Tableau course, you can learn more about the certification exam.
In order to apply to Goodwill’s Tableau training course, you must have the MOS-Excel certification or pass an Excel assessment and successfully pass a brief selection process. You must be familiar with formulas and knowledge of pivot tales is preferred.
Requirements for Completion
To successfully complete Goodwill’s Tableau training course, you must:
- Have at least an 85% attendance rate
- Present all class projects, assignments and tasks
- Complete a final project, if applicable
- Internship (if any) is mandatory
