In Goodwill’s free Customer Service Experience – Call Center training course, participants will learn the essential skills needed to build a strong foundation for a career in the call center industry. In this five-day, 15-hour course, participants will work with an industry professional and discuss the different types of call centers and the expectations of each, learn about call center metrics and assessment strategies, and practice proper call etiquette and de-escalation strategies. At the end of the course, participants will be given an exam to test their knowledge and retention of the week’s material.

    Course Format

    Goodwill’s free Customer Service Experience – Call Center training course meets in person at the Goodwill Opportunity Campus, located at 5301 Wilkinson Boulevard in west Charlotte.

    Course Timeframe

    This course lasts five days and consists of 15 total learning hours. Class meets from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

    Certification Opportunities

    Upon completion of Goodwill’s Customer Service Experience – Call Center training course, you’ll receive a Goodwill University Certificate of Completion.

    Launch Your Career

    As a participant in one of Goodwill’s intensive training programs, you will be paired with a Career Navigator who will provide comprehensive and accelerated services to prepare you to advance and leverage career readiness and essential skills. They will provide ongoing career coaching activities such as resume development, elevator pitch, mock interviews and more. As you near completion of your training course, you will be connected with a member of the Employer Engagement Team for employment assistance. The Employer Engagement team partners with employers to facilitate employer led trainings, site tours, hiring events, and direct placements into high-paying industry related employment opportunities.
