CPR, FIRST AID & AED COURSE

It can take paramedics 12-13 minutes to arrive after a 9-1-1 call is made. Knowing appropriate action to take in an emergency until professional help arrives is critical in saving lives. Goodwill’s free CPR, First Aid & AED certification course meets the OSHA First Aid Standard for emergency care in the workplace and follows the latest CPR and ECC guidelines. During the course you will learn how to effectively recognize an emergency, act appropriately and sustain life until professional help arrives. Topics range from basic first aid to dealing with cardiac emergencies.

COURSE TIMEFRAME

Goodwill’s CPR, First Aid & AED certification course takes one day to complete. Class meets at the Goodwill Opportunity Campus on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

COURSE FORMAT

Participants will meet in person to get hands-on training in CPR, First Aid and AED usage. As part of the course, participants will receive a student workbook, a first aid training packet and lunch – all free of charge.

CERTIFICATION OPPORTUNITIES

After successfully completing Goodwill’s free CPR, First Aid & AED certification course, participants will receive a nationally recognized certification card from the National Safety Council.
