If you’re a frequent shopper of our outlet store, you may know by now that it has moved from its former location on Freedom Drive to its new home at the Goodwill Opportunity Campus!
Goodwill® Industries of the Southern Piedmont has re-branded and re-located our outlet store (formerly known as the Goodwill Outlet or Freedom Drive Outlet) and re-named the store “Second Editions: A Goodwill Outlet Store” as a historical nod to one of our early Goodwill retail stores in the region as we embrace our future at the Goodwill Opportunity Campus.
Second Editions is now located at 5301 Wilkinson Boulevard in west Charlotte – right next door to our specialty store GW – and opened to the public on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. The outlet store demonstrates stewardship at its highest level, ensuring that donations made to Goodwill do not go to waste.
Pricing at the outlet store is as follows:
- Clothing, shoes, accessories, purses and plush toys are sold by the pound at $1.39.
- Books, furniture, electronics, toys and housewares are offered at 50% off the ticketed price.
Shopping at Second Editions gives customers the opportunity to be environmentally responsible by reusing items and keeping them from ending up in our local landfills.
Store hours at Second Editions are Monday – Saturday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
As with all Goodwill retail stores, proceeds from the sale of donations at Second Editions help fund Goodwill’s mission of providing job training and employment services free of charge to individuals in our community.
