Goodwill CFO Named a Finalist for CBJ’s “2021 CFO of the Year” Award

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Richard Walker, was nominated for Charlotte Business Journal’s “2021 CFO of the Year” award.
This award honors top local professionals for outstanding performance in their roles as senior financial executives. Those recognized live and work in the region, and each has held the title of chief financial executive — or an equivalent position, such as treasurer — for at least three years.
“I am honored and humbled to even be considered for this nomination. I see this as an acknowledgement of all the hard work we have put in as team over the past several years and all the work we are poised to do over the next several years,” Walker said. “I love what I do, the team I work with and this agency. The impact it has on me is that it has allowed me to use my skills and knowledge as part of an amazing team to accomplish great things every day.”
Richard is responsible for developing and directing all departmental activities and strategies of Goodwill’s Finance, Business Intelligence and Strategic Planning departments. His passion is to maximize the financial strength of Goodwill to ensure it will be able to serve our community both now and in the future. Congratulations Richard!
