Goodwill Takes Part in #GivingTuesday

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is excited to announce that we will participate in #GivingTuesday this year! What’s #GivingTuesday? It’s a time for our community to come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and give back.

Always the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday encourages philanthropy to organizations and causes worldwide, and we couldn’t be more excited to join the 6,700+ organizations that participate.

So what does this mean?

On #GivingTuesday, November 28, you’ll see our social media platforms tout inspirational posts, photos, stories and videos about the people we serve and the impact we make in the Charlotte region. Our posts will encourage followers and friends like you to donate financially to Goodwill to support our mission.

How Do You Give?

When you see posts on our social media channels that inspire you to be philanthropic, click the link that will bring you to our website where you can safely donate any amount. You can also go directly to our website to give: https://goodwillsp.org/donate/donate-money/.

We are also excited to announce an even easier way to give to Goodwill – through text message! Through our partnership with local start-up uBack, you can safely and securely donate any amount by texting the word “Give” to 704-343-8828. When asked what charity you’d like to support, simply reply #goodwillsp, and it will prompt you to input the donation amount of your choice. It’s an easy and convenient way to make an impact!
