We were so thrilled to gather with more than 700 friends, community supporters, and our nonprofit and business partners together for our 19th annual Cornerstone Celebration, presented by Wells Fargo, at The Westin Charlotte today.
2011 was an amazing year for Goodwill. During the awards ceremony, we celebrated how lives are being changed and families strengthened, and we acknowledged that it takes a caring community to make it possible.

JACK CALLAGHAN CORNERSTONE AWARD
The Jack Callaghan Cornerstone Award is Goodwill’s highest honor and is given to a leader who has devoted their life to providing workforce development opportunities and services for people facing disabilities or disadvantages.

HELMS VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD
This Award is named for Goodwill Founder Edgar J. Helms and is given to a “Champions for Good” volunteer who exemplifies Helping Elevate Leadership and Meaningful Services.

CORPORATE CHAMPION OF THE YEAR AWARD
This award is given to an organization that has demonstrated outstanding and multifaceted support of Goodwill’s mission through hiring, donating gifts-in-kind, volunteering and more.

GOOD WORK!
These are Goodwill’s most special awards and are presented to individuals who have received or are currently receiving services and have overcome significant barriers, achieved and maintained employment, possibly returned to serve their peers and more.
