With the economy still suffering, staffing agencies are a great place to find temporary work. Emily Coble of GoodWork Staffing, a division of Goodwill, shares three tips to stand out at your interview with a staffing agency. With 10 years of experience in human resources and customer service, Coble knows the common mistakes people make. Here are three things you should do:

UPDATE YOUR RESUME
Resumes should be updated each time you receive training, take a new job or complete courses. Coble receives over 100 resumes a week. She says the chances of being placed improve significantly if your resume is 100 percent updated.

TREAT IT LIKE A FORMAL INTERVIEW
Just like any other interview, you should dress in business attire and come prepared with your resume and references. Be prepared to answer questions and communicate well. To really impress the interviewer, show you are interested by asking them questions. The best way to stand out is by staying in contact. Keep calling and leaving messages with your availability.

BE FLEXIBLE
It is much easier to place someone with flexible hours and an open mind about what kind of work they are willing to do. You might not be offered the exact position you are looking for, but having an open mind will allow you to get your foot in the door faster.
